"Some Vultures Are Circling"

Hold on - Hold on now...
What do you see? (Where can it be?)
What's that sound?
Bring me the head of the man
who has nothing to lose.
Give me your word and I'll
send them to fill your old shoes.

If I do - I'll wear them when walking
towards you.
There's a spot in the woods we can
meet for a while.

This is where father sold off the
best stock - and he buried the gold
beneath that pile of rocks (in the clearing)
we stand and we hope he can take it all back.
In the event that we overspent -
it's ok old man...
yeah we're fine.

"One Extra Wide Load"

Give over to what's inside us.
Let that which will be - become...
Give all you have to another.
Don't stop yourself 'til it's gone.
In the long run it makes sense.
You clearly see the divide.

So make 'em give it another.
Insist it has to be so.
I have some dollars I don't need.
You can give them a home.

In the long run it makes sense
You clearly see what's implied.
And if this might make you happy.
You need to burn it down.

"Special Brand of Love"

We're always thirsty and we like a smoke.
Mostly have but nothing and we often choke on our pride.
That's a good thing.
You gave us reasons - reasons to fight.
Reasons to light it up... reasons to hide it away.
From the light of the day.

But we hold it together.
'Cause together we go.
Somewhere between you and I -
deep in the March snow.

Yelling is often the mode we accept as the
best way to muscle whatever we have left -
But that's flawed.
And once all has thawed - out -
big mouth close.
We'll show that face - off with the nose.

"Pickled Onions (but who don't like to rock?)"

Tell me oh why do you like this song?
Which part is stronger?
Tell me tell me - how it sounds to you....
'Cause my guitar is all outta tune...
And I'm really not much of a crooner.
Really - no I'm not.

But who don't like to rock?

Introspective is the sound on weekdays.
That's when I spend my mind - and I send you the signal.
It's a homing call.
Little things are all bent outta shape.
And I can only find my escape getting out of tune,
In this darkened room.
Might see you in June.

Rampage on and on and on for days,
Hard to see through the glaze and tomorrow I'm guessing -
Will be much the same.
So unlikely I've been here this long...
I can't even count the songs anymore.
But I'm sure there's at least one more.

"That's One Fly Jacket"

Where did you get that thing?
It's like a fucking monster baby.
It's got pockets right on top of those
things I need.

Look at that! How can you not like it?
Look at that! How can you not like it?
Look at that! And tell me the truth -
Like the fountain that gives back your youth.

It's a shame that they gave it away.
It's a shame that someone gave it away.
Did they just let go but the jacket stayed?
It's a test and oh how you failed.

In your best leather jacket.
You always look so good.
In your best leather jacket.
I never knew you would.
In your fly leather jacket.
You always look so good.

"Pistol Whipped for Jesus"

Get down - get down son it's not safe here.
Not safe here for us at all -
Your sister's gone she's been taken.
I guess we were all wrong.
Bring water if you can find some.
Help might not be here again today.

Could be far far away.

And the great needs of many - have yet to be met.
So just get on your knees. Beg that dog for a sign.
There's ever ways to be crazed and incensed and the fences
are coming down. Don't be fooled by the sunset.
Pictures of lily white clouds and a sea and picture of you
next to sister and mother too.
Forget all the times we applied the wrong side of our
nature. It's our nature to do this.

" Sgt. Grillmore Brings Wood for The Goats at Our BBQ"

GOATS!
GOATS -
In my backyard.
GOATS.
Drinking beer.
GOATS -
By the grill.
GOATS -
On the rum.
GOATS -
on the rum.
GOATS.

"What Did You Forget?"

Won't you come home...
Back to your space.
Back where you're known.
No place like home.

Easy is as easy does...
And that all the story you'll need.
So fish all you want little man.
Trifling is prepaid with you but we need -
Something more in the form of a plan.

Who's in the band?
Give me a name.
So I might understand.
Not like you give a damn.

Think and rethink...
Give credit where credit is due.
Otherwise the lies become true.
There's no escape plan.
So strap in real good.
We could see rough seas -
We knew we would.

But that's OK with me.

"The High Pass"

And though the spark hit the gas line,
Luck saw the kids OK.
We'll write this one on some paper,
But the paper won't last long.
And though the taller one went first,
It's still quite a foreign play.
We hold a feast and invite them
It's labouring in the air -
Still to this day.

And all the vessels move at once
Leaving a massive fault
Reaction is full gestalt.
The board convenes on Sunday to discuss their fate.

The blocks are tipping - the tap it drips.
And all of the walls have marks.
Hard to believe what two stones can do
When they make some little sparks.
Hard to believe.

Turn on the filter there's smoke inside -
We need to take a ride.
